PLANNING GUIDE
How much does a dessert table cost in Singapore?
The real range, what should be included in the price, and the three surcharges that turn a quote into a bigger invoice.

Nobody publishes this, which is why you are reading it. Most Singapore dessert table vendors quote privately, so working out whether S$900 is fair means emailing six people and waiting a week. Here is the actual range, and what should be inside it.
The honest range
For a styled dessert table in Singapore in 2026, small independent vendors sit roughly between S$600 and S$1,600. Larger studios with a design team and a warehouse of props start closer to S$900 and run past S$2,500 for anything elaborate. Published listings from wedding caterers cluster around S$360 for a bare-bones dessert-only drop-off and S$980 for a fifty to sixty guest package with styling.
Our own packages are S$680, S$980 and S$1,580. We publish them because a price you have to ask for is a price that moves depending on who is asking.
What the number should include
The single biggest reason two quotes look different is that they are not describing the same job. A complete dessert table price should cover all of the following:
- The desserts, priced by number of selections rather than by piece
- Table and backdrop rental
- Styling props and decor
- Custom signage
- Delivery to your venue
- Setup on the day, usually 1 to 1.5 hours before guests arrive
- Teardown and collection of props afterwards
If a quote is quiet about setup and teardown, that is often where the difference is hiding. Someone has to come back at eleven at night and take the backdrop down.
What a “selection” actually means
Vendors price by selection, not by piece, and a selection is one full tray of one flavour. In our case that is 12 to 26 pieces depending on the bake — a tray of brownies runs to 26, a tray of cupcakes to 12. So a four-selection table is not four desserts, it is roughly 50 to 90 pieces. Ask any vendor for the piece count behind their selection number before you compare packages.
The costs that appear later
Three things reliably turn a S$980 quote into a S$1,120 invoice:
Venue access. No lift access typically adds around S$50, because everything goes up the stairs by hand. Sentosa and Jurong Island usually carry a surcharge too, in our case S$20.
Dates nobody wants to work. Public holidays, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day commonly carry a 10 to 20 per cent surcharge.
Booking late. Short-notice surcharges are standard. Ours are 10 per cent under 21 days, 20 per cent under 14 days and 40 per cent under 7 days, which sounds punitive until you have tried to source props in four days.
Deposits, and what happens if you cancel
A 50 per cent deposit to confirm the date is standard across the industry, and it comes off the final invoice. What varies enormously is the refund window. We refund the deposit in full if you cancel 20 or more days out, and not after that, because by then we have already bought and made the decorations for your specific theme. Ask every vendor for their cutoff in writing.
Questions worth asking before you pay a deposit
Has the venue confirmed it allows outside vendors? A surprising number of hotels do not, and that is not usually refundable. Does the vendor do tastings? Many small ones, including us, do not. Will the same person who designs it also bake it and set it up? For a one-person operation the answer is yes, which is either exactly what you want or exactly what worries you.
GOOD TO KNOW
Questions people actually ask
How much does a dessert table cost in Singapore?
Expect S$600 to S$1,600 for a styled dessert table from a small independent vendor, and S$900 to S$2,500 or more from a larger studio. Our own packages are S$680, S$980 and S$1,580, and they include styling, props, signage, delivery, setup and teardown.
What should be included in the price?
At minimum: the desserts themselves, table and backdrop rental, styling props, signage, delivery, setup and teardown. If a quote does not name all of those, ask which ones are extra before you compare it with anything else.
How many desserts do I need per guest?
Plan on three to four pieces per guest if the dessert table is the only sweet thing at the event, and two if there is also a cake being cut. There is a fuller breakdown in our party planning guide.
How far in advance should I book?
Three weeks minimum for most vendors, including us, because props and decor are made for your specific event. Wedding season and December book out much earlier than that.
What are the hidden costs?
The three that catch people out are venue access surcharges (no lift, restricted loading), public holiday surcharges, and late-booking fees. Ours are published on the dessert tables page so there is nothing to discover on the invoice.
Baked fresh every morning.
Preorders close at 9pm for next-day pickup or islandwide delivery.
