Who this covers

The Dessert Party is a one-woman bakery run by Charlene, based at 406 Tampines St 41 #01-23, Singapore 520406. This page explains what happens to your information when you visit thedessertparty.com, join the mailing list, place an order, or send an enquiry.

What we collect

It depends on what you do on the site.

Joining the mailing list: just your email address, submitted through the sign-up form in the footer.

Sending an enquiry (dessert tables, custom boxes, corporate, wholesale): the fields you fill in, such as your name, phone number, email and event details. These forms don't submit to a server. They open WhatsApp on your own device with your details pre-filled, so the enquiry becomes a WhatsApp conversation between you and Charlene's phone, the same as if you'd typed it there yourself. We don't store a separate copy on the website.

Placing an order: ordering hands off to our order platform, where you'll provide delivery details and payment information directly to complete the purchase. We don't see or store your card details.

Just browsing: standard website analytics (pages visited, roughly where visitors come from), and a small note saved in your browser so we don't show you the newsletter pop-up more than once a month. No personal details are in either.

Why we collect it

To reply to enquiries, fulfil orders, send the occasional newsletter to people who asked for it, and understand which pages are actually useful so we can improve them. Nothing is used for anything beyond that.

Who it's shared with

We don't sell or rent your information to anyone, full stop. A few services process it on our behalf so the site can function:

Netlify hosts the site and processes mailing list sign-ups. Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager provide the visit statistics mentioned above. WhatsApp (Meta) carries any enquiry you choose to send that way, under WhatsApp's own privacy terms. Our order platform processes and stores order and payment details when you check out.

Each of these only sees what's needed to do its job.

How long we keep it

Mailing list emails are kept for as long as you stay subscribed, and removed as soon as you unsubscribe. WhatsApp conversations follow your own WhatsApp settings, not ours. Order details are kept as long as needed for order history, warranty-style queries and our own accounting records.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, at any time. Email thedessertparty@gmail.com or message us on WhatsApp and we'll sort it out directly. Unsubscribing from the mailing list is also a one-click link in every email we send.
