THE PRACTICAL BIT
We are asked about this constantly, so here is the plain version. We do not use pork or lard in anything, we do not bake with alcohol, and we do not use gelatin. That is true of the whole kitchen, not just a few items. We are not MUIS halal certified, and we would rather say so clearly than let you assume otherwise.
For open houses, the sharing platters are the sensible choice; they are built to sit on a table and be picked at over an afternoon. For visiting, the smaller boxes travel better.

Questions we get asked
Is The Dessert Party halal certified?
No. We are not MUIS halal certified. We do not use pork, lard, alcohol or gelatin anywhere in our kitchen, but certification is a separate process and we do not claim it.
Do you use alcohol in the tiramisu?
No. Our tiramisu is made without alcohol, which is unusual for the classic recipe and deliberate on our part.
Can you deliver during Hari Raya?
Yes, though we are closed on public holidays. Order well ahead during Raya week, as slots fill quickly.
What works best for an open house?
The Tart Platter at S$52 or the Sharing Dessert Platter at S$45. Both are built for a table rather than for one person.
